Ideation & Mockups
This was a WordPress site designed and built for a client by myself and Katherine Botabara. Beginning with a proposal, we also created two varying wireframes and mockups that both aimed to evoke inner calm and suited the visual identity of a life coach. These mockups were created in Figma, utilizing auto layouts to achieve organized and flexible components.
I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator, working with the client’s preexisting branding and Jasmine motif.
Development
After a design direction was chosen, I developed the theme and necessary blocks using Docker as well as NPM and NPX to download all required packages and plugin template. React and PHP were used to create static and dynamic plugins respectively, allowing me to manipulate and display custom post types such as testimonials and affiliates on the front-end.
Each block was designed to be completely modular for the client to be able to easily style them in various layouts. They’re also compatible with native WordPress blocks allowing for custom headings, paragraphs, columns, and lists.
